They were the third province in the Netherlands to achieve this certification which includes the BIO - BBN2 requirements. A super good result and very important in times of government digitisation.
During the presentation, Jan Markink, member of the Gelderland provincial executive, said; "the certificate is not a goal in itself, but a seal of quality with which we demonstrate to the outside world that we handle information well. That gives confidence to residents and businesses. I therefore think it would be a good thing if more authorities were certified. All governments should therefore work on digitisation and security. For example, it would be good if provinces, in the newly formed colleges, appointed a director in charge of this subject."
